Episode 13

Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.

Psalm 30:4

Give thanks. Even when you think you have nothing to be thankful for, look around and give thanks.

Gratitude is a choice. Every single day we wake up, and we choose what we are going to wear that day. Then we go to the kitchen grab a coffee or a piece of toast. If you’re feeling fancy, you might make yourself two eggs with a side of avocado—it- Definitely my go-to.

Then we make a choice to show up for work every single day without hesitation. It’s what pays the bills, and there is no arguing the FPL bill when it comes in each month.

Just like we have all of these routines in place, I want us all to work on habitually practice wearing an attitude of gratitude. So let’s back it up… every single day, we wake up, and we choose what we are going to wear that day.

Today let’s do something bold. Let’s look in the mirror and repeat 3 things, 3 people, 3 reasons you are grateful for. It can be absolutely anything. The world around you can crumble. You might have received devastating news from the doctor’s office, and your loved ones could be sick. Your job might be at risk, and your life might be falling apart. But in reality, God is orchestrating something you cannot see. So while you may be hurting, we have to remain grateful for what we do have, and I promise you it’s a really long list. Give it a shot!

Jesus, we devote ourselves to wearing an attitude of gratitude each and every single day. When the world is falling apart, and we don’t know what to do, we look to you. We give you thanks for working on our behalf. We give you thanks for the abundance we currently possess. We understand you see things we cannot see. We understand you are orchestrating something beyond our comprehension. We love you with everything in us. We thank you always. In your mighty name, we pray, Amen!
