Episode 18
TODAY’S READING:
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the greek. In it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith”
Romans 1:16-17
Wednesday already? Time is going by so fast for me. I had a pretty rough week, actually. If you keep up with me on social media, you’ll know that my grandmother has been in and out of the hospital over the last few weeks. I also got some heartbreaking news that my application was denied after the second round of interviews for an opportunity I was really praying for… but that’s life, right?
These emails and this podcast take a lot of my time, but I do this because I know it’s where God has called me. This podcast has officially reached 9 countries, yet in a month where I should be celebrating this huge personal achievement, the enemy has attacked my home and my business and has tried to shake my faith.
I say this small testimony to show you and remind you, as you walk through the valley’s God is beside you the whole time. Jesus came to remind us that we didn’t have to live this life alone. We would have a much better life if we leaned on him throughout our time on this precious earth.
So like this verse says, I am not ashamed of the gospel. It’s because of this gospel that I can live in faith and in the freedom that no matter what happens to my grandmother, Jesus is standing by my side. All I have to do is continue to do the Kingdom work that he has asked me to do.
I don’t know what you are facing. I don’t know if you are on a mountain top or if you are under attack. If you are under attack, let me remind you… the enemy attacks when you are headed down the right path. So keep praying, keep pushing.
I named this devotional “This is the Way” because I am a huge Star Wars fan, and if you saw The Mandalorian, then you’ll understand. You see, we, as Christians, have a way of life that connects us all. Our faith is everything that makes up our beliefs. You have to have faith that the best is yet to come. This is the way.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for another beautiful day! Thank you for the faith we get to live our lives by. Thank you for being a shelter to lean on when things get tough. When we are attacked, I pray our faith strengthens, and we do not run in the opposite direction. When the going gets tough, I pray we run right into the storm with the full confidence that you are beside us the entire time. We will continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We will continue to spread the love of Jesus. We thank you, we love you! In your mighty name, we pray, Amen!
