Episode 29

5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:1-2

Happy Thursday! The week is coming to an end, and hopefully, we all have some great plans for this weekend.

I titled this devotional Peace and Hope because that is what our faith gives us. Man, life can come at you fast. One day you have it all put together, and the next day you have so much piled up laundry, and your room is a mess. It’s a picture of how life can get. On some days, we have it all figured out, and on others, everything that can go wrong at work goes wrong.

Last week I lost my grandmother, but one of my lifelong best friends gave birth to a perfect baby girl. This is life.

So while you may hit a speed bump from time to time on your journey to achieving your dreams, or on your journey of just trying to get through this season, have grace with yourself and reflect on the promises we’ve been granted.

It’s because of our faith in Christ that we have been justified, and we have peace with God our Lord Jesus. Do you know what that means? We have peace with God. No matter how far you stray, no matter how messy your life can become, you have peace with God. He is there, and he is ready to help you if you just give it over to him.

No matter what season you are facing right now, you can boast in the hope of God. So have hope that no matter how amazing this season may be for you or how tough of a season, the best is still yet to come.

Jesus, we come to you full of faith, and we are thankful that in return, we have unwavering peace and hope. I know you stand with us and walk us through every season. I know you are the God of the messy middle. Some of us are caught in the messy middle. I pray you give us clarity in these moments. We love you! In your holy name, we pray, Amen!
