Episode 50

TODAY’S READING:

3 For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven:

2 a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;

a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;

a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 a time to love, and a time to hate;

a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Episode 50 of the My Morning Devotional Podcast!

These few verses are absolutely beautiful. My absolute favorite is Verse 4:

a time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Today I am laughing and dancing. I am learning how to celebrate my accomplishments. Something that was so very hard for me to do in the past. Today is a big day for me because I get to celebrate 50 episodes, 50+ hours spent reading and writing what the word of God means to me. 50 times the words God gave me could have sparked change in another person.

Maybe you are not laughing or dancing.

Maybe you are weeping and mourning. I was there a month ago when I lost my grandmother. The truth is people are being affected by the virus daily. People’s jobs, people’s lives. Maybe that’s you.

You’re lost, and you don’t know what the future holds for you.

If you keep listening to these episodes, I hope you’ll find the faith to know that our God is great. He is mighty. He is always fighting your battles right by your side.

 This verse is so clear on the many different seasons of life. Have you ever had a best friend that was attached to you by the hip. You did absolutely everything together. Then life gets in the way, and you can’t remember why you guys stopped hanging out every waking minute? Remember – there is a season for everyone and everything in your life. Some last longer than others.

 So if you are weeping, or laughing – mourning or dancing, I pray you to take your pains and praises to Him, He will listen to you. He will celebrate with you. He will weep with you. He is with you.

PRAYER

Jesus, thank you for 50 episodes of this podcast. Thank you for the hundreds of listeners. You are making way for each one of us every single day. Today we come to you with our pains and praises. We want to weep with you; we want to celebrate with you. Jesus, I ask that you heel any broken heart. May that person feel your love transform their heart. I also pray for anyone who is celebrating today. May they remember how much you love them and how they should be excited when they achieve a win. For everything, there is a season, but there is no season without you. We love you, Amen!
