Episode 52

TODAY’S READING:

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish,

and it will be done for you.

John 15:7

Hey! I hope you had a beautiful day yesterday.

I have this pain in my toes; about two months ago, I was diagnosed with inflammation in my toes, and to be honest, it’s extremely painful. Yesterday I overdid it and was standing on my feet for too long. What resulted was a long two hours of crying.

While my sister and my boyfriend started massaging my toes to break up the liquid, I started to repeat to myself in my tears, “my feet are fine,” “my feet are healthy,” “I can run, I can dance, I can stand, I can bake.” While these affirmations worked and will work, there is something far greater in repeating scripture.

There is a principle in memorizing scripture. It allows God’s very words to abide in us daily. So I took to the bible to find myself some scripture verses I could use for daily affirmations.

If you are sick, or if you know someone who is. If you are battling self-esteem, or if you are looking to gain confidence to land your dream job, these scriptures can impact us all.

I pray you to come back to this list every single day until they are memorized.

I don’t worry about everyday life. God knows my needs and meets them because I make His Kingdom my primary concern. Matthew 6:25-33

God’s power works best in my weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

The cross of Christ is my power. 1 Corinthians 1:17

I set my heart and mind on things above, not earthly things. This gives me peace. Colossians 3:1-2

God is able to do immeasurably more in my life than I could ever imagine. Ephesians 3:20

I live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 12:7

Because I have written love and faithfulness on the tablet of my heart, I have favor with God. Proverbs 3:3

God pours out his love into my heart by the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5

The Lord is my good Shepherd. He provides for all of my needs. Psalm 23:1

Because I seek the Lord with all my heart, I lack no good thing Psalm 34:10

I’m like a tree planted by streams of water. My life bears fruit and prospers because I meditate on God’s Word. Psalm 1:1-2

God is love, and he is in me, so I am love. 1 John 4:16

PRAYER

Jesus, we will use your word as daily protection. We will meditate on your ways, and we will remember what you have to say about us. I pray when we are weak, we repeat your words over and over and over again. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for giving us the tools to exceed abundantly. We lean into your love, your power, your strength. We declare any sickness to be gone in your Holy name. We declare any battle with self-esteem to be eradicated. We declare healing of the mind, healing of the body, and healing of our emotions in your Holy name! Amen!
