Episode 66

TODAY’S READING:

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Psalm 19:1

 

Another beautiful day! Happy Monday!

 

Are you a sunset or a sunrise kind of person? I have to say there is nothing like a beautiful sunset in my opinion, especially over the coast of the water. 

 

When the sun peeps away from the clouds, and it starts to slowly disappear into the horizon, it creates a sky full of my favorite colors. Pinks, purples, blues, and yellows. You can get lost in the moment, and really, the only thing you can think is, wow, how talented is God. Look at his art just showing off. Just like the verse says, the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

 

But it also reminds me that we all work with our hands. Some of us are creators, and others of us work with people, and some of us are children. Whatever you do, my prayer is that our work can proclaim the glory of God. 

 

May people see Him in us. 

 

May they look at what you create and think to themselves, wow, that person is blessed. Or wow, she/he is devoted to God. His love for you and all that he has done in your life should be reflected in everything you do. 

 

His love should run through our hands so that everything we create and work on is made from a place of love. 

 

If you are a makeup artist, school teacher, professional, marketer, business owner, athlete, content creator, whatever it is that you do, may you spark the joy of God in those people who are around you through the beauty of your works? 

 

May we declare the glory of God, may our works proclaim his goodness.  

 

PRAYER

Jesus, we love you, and we honor you. The skies are breathtaking, but we know that is only one part of your creation. We pray that you amplify what little we can do. We can’t create skies, stars, or mountains, but we can do good works with the talents you’ve given us. Help us in sparking your Joy in others. Through our art, our dedication to you. We pray that people see You when they look at us. May everything we do be for your glory. Guide us, father. In your mighty name, we pray, Amen!
