Episode 70
TODAY’S READING:
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Genesis 50:20
We all have a past, and sometimes they haunt us. If it’s a traumatic childhood, a significant other that took your spirit, or an injury that may have been the reason all of your athletic dreams came to a halt.
The enemy will work extremely hard to steal your joy, your pride, your season – but always remember when he intends to harm us, God is actually using it for good. He is using your season to save many lives.
This is why sharing your testimonies and talking about your story is so important.
I’ll never forget the day my dad was admitted to a rehabilitation center for narcotic addiction. I couldn’t fathom the next seven years. I couldn’t see the toll my family was about to take, but on that first day, a family friend contacted me as the oldest child of his family. Their family had just gotten past the same situation, and he helped me navigate my emotions at that time.
You have no idea who you can help. You have no idea how your pain and your past can help someone. Sometimes your past can feel insignificant to that of someone you may know. Maybe you had a fantastic childhood, and the only season you can even think of was not being accepted to your dream college.
Remember that it is not insignificant. There are college-aged students everywhere that face that kind of disappointment every year.
God doesn’t just use really bad enemy territory testimonies. He uses EVERYTHING. Meaning he uses your every day for the bigger picture.
Today, God is going to use you to help many lives. You just can’t see it. But He is all-knowing, and we have to trust Him.
PRAYER
Jesus, we give our past and our present, and our future to you. Use our stories and our testimonies to impact the lives of those around us. We can’t even imagine how many people our actions impact on a daily basis, but you do. We surrender it all to you. We thank you for protecting us in the good and the bad times. It is in your holy name that we pray, Amen!
