Episode 71

TODAY’S READING:

You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

Nehemiah 9:6

Happy Labor Day!

I pray today is a day of rest for some and a day of fun for others. God knows exactly what we need, and I pray we all get it.

I love how this verse says, “You alone are the Lord.” This verse talks about how God made the heavens, the stars, the earth, and the seas. He gives life to everything, and heaven worships Him.

When you truly think about the wonders of God is leaves you in awe.

I hope today we remember his goodness. We remember his greatness.

He made the stars; he made the seas; he made the winds and the mountains. In all that vastness, he also made you.

He knows you by name.

He knows how many hairs you have on your head.

He is closer than your very breath.

You are his dwelling place.

You are a child of His light.

He is the God of miracles, the Lord of greatness, our father in heaven. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He is everywhere at the same time.

He ALONE. There is no one greater. No one else who made the stars.

So as we go about starting a new week, may we never forget who we can turn to, who we can confide in. Who we can rely on. God is so so good. Never ever forget that you are his prized possession. He knows your every desire. Let him into your heart.

PRAYER

Father God, we know that you alone are the Lord of the heavens and the earth. You are a God who creates skies, stars, and mountainscapes, but you are also the God who made us and all of our wildest dreams. You placed them on our hearts. We pray that you bless us, father. We pray for your love and your protection. We pray for a safe labor day and an amazing week. Thank you for guiding our every step. Thank you for helping us remember our worth because we are your sons and daughters. It is in your Holy Name that we pray, Amen!
