Episode 80

TODAY’S READING:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Ephesians 2:8

Good morning and Happy Friday!

Today I wanted to keep it short and to the point. We can count on our creator. He is there for us. The best part about life with Him is that we don’t need to count on ourselves to fix every problem and situation.

The truth is half the time; you have no control of the things around you. You only really have control over how to react to situations.

This verse says, “this is not from yourselves,” … meaning the gift of grace that you’ve been given is not something you can extend to yourself. God gives us this gift. Grace was His to give first, and because he gave, we can give.

We extend grace to others because it’s what God does.

Take time this weekend to get alone with Him. Look at all of your blessings. Look at all of the times you could have slipped into a bad group of people or bad habits, and he saved you. Remember all of the times you wanted things to go a certain way, and then he stepped in and changed the plans for you, for the better.

God is GOOD. Always.

PRAYER

Jesus, thank you for the gift of grace. It is through faith that we can boldly proclaim your love in our life. I can’t imagine a life where I was solely in charge. There is no way I would have the answers to everything, and that is why I trust you. I lean on you. I know that I cannot do this life alone. I pray the same can be said for everyone listening to this prayer. May we all lean on you and only you. Let it be known that they don’t have to walk this life alone. It is in your Holy name we pray, Amen.
