Episode 93

TODAY’S READING:

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

 

Mid-week pick us up! 

 

I like to think that in our walks with Christ, we are blanketed with protection. It doesn’t mean bad things don’t happen to us, actually the opposite. But it does mean that at all times of the day, the Lord is faithful, and he has your best interest in mind. 

 

Every morning we dive into a different verse but isn’t it beautiful how each verse we read can become deeply personal? 

 

God can speak to us directly. Everyday. Yesterday we talked about the importance of a daily prayer routine. Today this verse confirms that he is strengthening us and protecting us daily. 

 

So what are you facing today? Is it another day of battling your food habits? Is it another day of living in a home with an addict? Is it another day of anxiety or depression? Is it another day at a job that makes you unhappy? Is it a sickness in your body? What is it? I may not know. I have no idea what your personal battles look like? I know they exist. But God knows exactly what it is you wake up to each day. 

 

Can I promise you something? He is faithful. He will give you the strength for yet another day. He will protect you from anything that was made to harm you. 

 

You can go about your day today in the full confidence that God himself resides in you. God himself strengthens you. God himself goes before you. You never have to walk a battle alone. 

 

PRAYER

God, thank you so so much for the love you show us each day. Lord, we are all facing different battles. The enemy attacks in very different strategic ways against us, but we rest knowing fully that you are faithful Lord. So do as the scripture verses day. Strengthen us, protect us. Let your presence be known. We give our battles to you. It is in your Holy Name that we pray, Amen!
