Devotional:

Your testimony is what sets you apart. It’s the story God gave you. The cards life handed you and the reason you can tune into a daily devotional seeking God every morning.

Our stories hold power. Some of us have grown up as Christians in church our whole lives. Some of us have strayed away, and something brought us back. Others of us had no understanding of Jesus until we were in our mid to late twenties – or even mid to late sixties.

No person, no story, to testimony is too “boring” for God.

While our stories may be different, my prayer is that our responses are the same. This verse is the response to my testimony – in 2012, my life would change forever, and I didn’t know it yet. I didn’t have a prayer routine, I had read very little of the bible, yet Jesus was my strength and my defense. There was a time in my life where everything went wrong—years of pain and loss. I had just about enough of it, and I heard the words “come to my house” – I knew it was God. And like the verse says, He became my salvation.

My life transformed in 2016 when I decided to grow in a relationship with Him. He changed my life; he transformed my world. He gave me meaning. He gave me a calling.

I pray women and men everywhere can walk in the confidence that only God can bring them. I pray your story is shared. I pray God brings the right people into your life so that you can impact them.

Today is a new day to be a blessing in the lives of others. Today is a new day to share your story. Today is a new day to praise God for bringing you from where you were to where you are now.

If you’re in the middle of a storm, look around – someone has a story to share with you that might just get you out of this valley.

PRAYER

Jesus, you have walked with us every single step of the way. Thank you for being there even when we didn’t see it. Our stories hold power. They are a testament to your never-failing love. Jesus, give us the strength to share what you’ve done in our lives without ever doing so forcefully. We pray our words to reflect your gentleness and humbleness. I pray today we become your hands and feet. Let us listen to others, let us learn from others, let us share with others. We pray for today and the rest of the week. We pray for our friends and our families. It is in your Holy Name that we pray, Amen!
