Episode 112

He Has Control

TODAY’S READING:

You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.

Job 22:27

Happy Tuesday!

Today is an important day for us in the states, today is Election Day, and while we may be feeling tension and stress as a country, we must never forget who would have the power. I know there are many of you in Asia, Europe, South America, and even Africa. It’s incredible to see God’s hand at work through this little project.

No matter where you are today, your fate and mine are the same. God has control of your nation. He has control of our globe.

I hope we all hold onto this verse today. May we pray. Not only when we need it but even when we think we don’t. We should pray.

When we pray, He hears us. I know most of our prayers are the same. We are human, and although we are all different, we all struggle with similar problems. We all pray for strength when we need it. We pray for protection when we need it. We pray for the words when we don’t have them. We pray for a miracle when we are desperate. We pray for the impossible because we know with Him, it’s possible.

God always knows what we need; remember that prayer is more for us than it is for Him. Prayer gives you the confidence that you are covered in His protection.

So pray today and fulfill your vows. Cut those destructive habits. Surrender your anxiety and cast your worries. He can take it. He made the universe.

When you pray, every day, something amazing will happen. Your life will change forever because of it. That doesn’t mean you won’t go through tough times; it only means that no matter what happens, you know that God is with you. He has his hand over your life, and you are covered in His protection.

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for hearing us. Thank you for creating a safe place for us to pray. Sometimes we can feel as if you don’t hear us, but we know you are there. We pray we can feel your presence. Lord, we want to see your hand at work in our lives, in our nation. Father, we pray for peace. We pray for provision. We pray for blessings. We don’t know what the future holds, but Jesus, we know you are in our past, you are in your present, so we know we can count on you to be in our future. Nothing can harm us, not with your protection. We love you, and it is in your holy name that we pray, Amen!

Hi, I'm Ali.
I want to encourage you on your faith journey!

I'm the coffee obsessed baker from Miami, FL who got too busy to find time to read scripture everyday. I knew my life was better with Jesus and I knew I wasn't the only one struggling with finding alone time with God every morning, so I put my dreams of opening a bakery aside and set out to produce a five minute daily devotional. What first started as an email chain, has now flourished into a beautiful community and I am so happy you are here!

MY TESTIMONY

We are a faith based community in pursuit of daily prayer. All it takes is five minutes - we know you're busy but He loves you still.
