Episode 149

TODAY’S READING:

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Good morning! The last day to enter the giveaway is TODAY! I am going to be closing it tonight at 11:59 and announcing everyone on Instagram tomorrow. So stay tuned and look out for that tag!

If you are listening today and tomorrow, I seriously applaud you. I know how busy everyone is. If you are catching this at a later date, I still applaud you; thank you for coming back and listening when you miss an episode or two.

So the night before Christmas is probably even more special to me than Christmas. I had a client ask me, do you all celebrate Christmas Eve or Christmas, and in my head, I assumed everyone celebrates both; not sure I could be wrong. But at least we Hispanics love “Noche Buena.” Send me a DM tell me all about your Christmas traditions and let me know if I can pray for you in any way.

Today we are reading out of 2 Corinthians. I figured it only fitted to find a verse that talks about giving. Since tonight after the lights go down, the wrapping continues for all those last-minute gifts you grabbed this week. Or maybe you have a tradition to pack in all o =f the wrapping the night before.

The takeaway here is very simple, our giving and our gifts should be given freely. If you feel that you have to do anything, it’s not coming from the heart. I pray that we reach to change a person’s life with our love. Remember that some of us love differently. But they can all be incorporated in this season. If you know your mom values quality time, spend the day with her cooking a nice meal. If your sister likes acts of service, offer to help her put together the bike she just got for Christmas.

There are so many ways to love the people around us, as Jesus loves us every day. Ultimately when we do that, we end up serving others, and when we serve others, we serve Him.

PRAYER

Father God, it’s the day before your birth. Jesus, we thank you for your life; we know you are the reason for the season. We love and honor you so very much. Help us remember to serve the people around us. May we be ever so present today and tomorrow and through the weekend. We love you, and it is in your Holy name that we pray, AMEN!
