Philippians 4:19-20
Hey Fam, happy Tuesday! Getting Ready to close this year, and honestly, I think I can speak for the entire world when I say we are ready for 2021! Yes, this upcoming year will come with its fair share of troubles, but what I know about new beginnings is that we get to use everything God taught us to prepare for the next chapter.
2020 did some DAMAGE. It gave us all a lot more to think about. We were forced to look at the world differently. It came with some lessons that we will never forget. Some of us lost loved ones; others are still battling the virus in our homes and our cities.
Some of us launched businesses, while others put our health first and were able to lose some weight, and some of our bodies gained some extra pounds you weren’t expecting, but through it, all, your body, mind, and spirit got you to today.
Let today’s devotional serve as a beautiful reminder that your needs will be met. You will always be taken care of, according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. We don’t have to get weighed down by anything because we are ready for the next chapter. Everything we’ve learned has prepared us for what’s next. So don’t let this past year discourage you; it was very, very necessary.
Instead, get alone, get with God, and pray. Write down everything you experienced. Write down your wins and your stocks, bring them to Him. Tell Him everything you want to accomplish over the next year, and with faith, know that He hears you, He knows what you need, and everything will be given to you.
PRAYER
Jesus, we are preparing for a new season, and as we do so, as we make our goals, we want you in the center of them. Show us what we need to do, tell us who we need to become, show us how you have already given us all the tools necessary to accomplish our dreams. We know that our needs will always be met, and we thank you for that. We ask that you bless this day, you bless our final few days of 2020, and you prepare us for a great year. It is in your Holy name that we pray, AMEN!
