TODAY’S READING:

Happy Tuesday! I hope you guys had a great day yesterday, I know I had a good day at work, and I am hopeful it will continue to be a great week. I am excited for this weekend because my sisters and I are leaving for Orlando together for a quick weekend escape. Plus, the inauguration is this week. So it’s definitely an eventful week for me.

 

I also wanted to check in and saw how you were all doing with your resolutions. If you needed some encouragement to jump back on, this is your sign. Keep pushing for those new habits!

 

Someone pointed out last night that I haven’t missed a day and that it was truly impressive this show hasn’t skipped a beat.  In some ways, my flesh agrees. I was in disbelief that I had surpassed that 7-month mark without missing an episode. But my spirit is tied to the promises of God.

 

This verse reminds me of that. He has called us all for a time such as this. We are all in different walks of life, doing work for Jesus. If you think about it. No matter was industry you are in. The hospitality industry serves guests as they relax and recharge or as they share special events. This is vital to the direct happiness and celebration of others. So, where you may not see it, you are playing a vital role.

 

In my case, I am a digital marketer, and I know that if I don’t do a good job, there are companies who are counting on me to get their phone to ring. Without calls, they can’t produce income which directly affects their technicians and the amount of money they can bring home to their families.

 

We are all interconnected, and our work matters. It’s a ripple effect, and you won’t see it, but God does.

 

My eyes are fixed on the eternal inheritance, and I am going to do the best that I can every day with what he has given me. I will serve my clients to the best of my abilities; I will produce this show to the best of my ability. I will spread joy to the best of my ability.

 

Where ever you find yourself today, you can do the same. My prayer today is that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you.

 

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for choosing us. Thank you for the roles that we play in your bigger plan. We know that we may not see it now, but you have called us, and we are committed to your ways. You have called us; we have an inheritance in heaven. We share that inheritance with Jesus himself, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Help fix our eyes on you when we go slipping. It is with everything in us that we pray, AMEN!
