TODAY’S READING:

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2 Timothy 4:7

Keep the faith! If there is one piece of advise that I can give to anyone is to keep the faith. God never promised us an easy life. He never said it was going to be a walk in the park.

Not even Jesus lived an easy life, in fact He lived a hard one. He was ridiculed, misunderstood, tempted by the Devil, and crucified on a cross. We can relate to all of these things, the last of course, only He understands.

But in this life, we will have heart ache. I had a listener reach out, her name is Lauren, and her husband Josiah fought a type of brain cancer in 2019 and they received some troubling news that it may be growing back. I don’t have the answers to why this happens, but I can look to scripture for help.

Together as a community I would love to pray for this beautiful couple, and in that prayer time I want you to reflect on your life and why it’s so important to fight the food fight.

Finishing the race, it means a lot. We just established that this life is not easy. We know there will be heartache, but I pray we still finish the race. It gives us a clear picture on how to do so. It says “I have kept the faith”.

Guys, faith is the one thing that will keep us going. It’s like solar panels that can charge a building. We get charged through the light of Jesus and it fuels us in the dark. How many of you know Solar Panel technology is amazing. The sun doesn’t have to be out in the middle of the night for the panels to fuel a home. In the same way, you can be in a dark season, but your faith that is charged by the light of Jesus can keep your house fueled.

My prayer today is that we understand how truly vital faith is. Faith is hope in things we cannot see. Faith is knowing God is for us, when when we can’t see Him with our physical eyes, Faith allows us to feel His very presence.

PRAYER

Father we thank you for fueling our life with your light. We lean onto you and because of that our faith grows larger and larger each day. We want to take a moment and as a community pray over Lauren and Josiah. Father we declare healing all over his body. God we can’t see the bigger picture, but you can. We are standing believing that you are the father of healing. If anyone under the sound of my voice is sick, I pray you heal them too. I want to take a moment and also praise you father, I have seen you heal others and I know I will see it again a thousand times. We love you with everything in us. Please bless the day ahead of us. Bless our family and our friends. Fuel us with your light. We love you, AMEN and AMEN!
