Episode 203

TODAY’S READING:

28 My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.

Psalm 119:28

We all have those days. The “I am just tired” days. The “I don’t want to keep doing this” kind of days. I know, doing the same kind of work day in and day out can get exhausting. Doing something without seeing a result can get tiring.

It is so important that we take rest and refuge in God. It is so important that we make Him our strength.

This verse says, “My soul is weary with sorrow,” and we can all relate to this on so many different levels. Maybe your soul is weary because of your job, because of your kids, because of your business, because of your dreams, because of your health, because of what is going on at home, because of your relationships. There are so many different things that can get us to the point of exhaustion, but the answer is always the same…

Strength me according to your word.

There is a word for anything you are going through. Lacking confidence? God is the source of your confidence. Lacking health? The Lord is a healer. Lacking ambitious? Let all you do be done unto God. We can find scripture verses to help walk us through any season.

So think about it, what gets you weary? Whatever it is, I have good news for you, Jesus can strengthen you according to His word.

PRAYER

Jesus, there are just some days when we are tired. We want to give up. We want to quit. Lord, remind us in these times that we don’t to give up hope; we just have to turn to you for rest and for strength. Lord, we ask that you take whatever is making us weary, and you strengthen us according to your word. We know each and every day is a blessing, so we thank you for this Wednesday, and we ask that you bless it. It is in your Holy name that we pray, Amen and Amen!

Hi, I'm Ali.
I want to encourage you on your faith journey!

I'm the coffee obsessed baker from Miami, FL who got too busy to find time to read scripture everyday. I knew my life was better with Jesus and I knew I wasn't the only one struggling with finding alone time with God every morning, so I put my dreams of opening a bakery aside and set out to produce a five minute daily devotional. What first started as an email chain, has now flourished into a beautiful community and I am so happy you are here!

MY TESTIMONY

We are a faith based community in pursuit of daily prayer. All it takes is five minutes - we know you're busy but He loves you still.
