Episode 220
TODAY’S READING:
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
John 21:24-25
Happy Good Friday and final prayer for this series. These are the last two verses in the book of John, and they just moved me.
The stories we know of Jesus are those that have been written on these pages. So many lives have been impacted by them. So many songs were written, so many sermons preached, so many lives changed.
But so much more could have happened. So many more miracles, testimonies, and yet we will never know.
It got me thinking, how many miracles has he performed? It has to be in the upwards of trillions. Every day is a blessing, and he performs miracles in all of our lives. They don’t have to be written in a book to be real. But they are real. So real. He moved when He wants to. He blesses. He is living water.
Today is Good Friday; today. He was crucified on a cross. I am grateful to have read through this story together; I know it has been a blessing in my life.
His death was cruel, and the tax he paid was heavy; it’s something we shouldn’t take for granted. Take time today and thank Him for the way He moves in your life. Thank Him for his sacrifice. Spend time worshiping Him. Leaning on Him. Reflecting on the choice, He made for you.
He will continue to move in your life. That’s a promise, and we are all the better because of it.
PRAYER
Jesus, thank you for loving me the way that you do. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for being better than the scriptures had predicted. Thank you for being graceful, loving God that you are. We want to live life with you. Today we honor your sacrifice. We reflect on all of the prayers and the scripture verses we’ve read together. We love you; it is with everything that we pray, AMEN and AMEN.
