Episode 232

TODAY’S READING:

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Proverbs 16:3

I pray this verse helps open your eyes. I pray you to look around and see how you play such a vital role in the greater mission.

It’s so easy to get lost in the feeling of inadequacy. It’s so easy to feel like this world is too big and you don’t matter.

It’s easy to think only those doing ministry work are those who are working for the lord.

Hey, it’s even easy to think that your job now doesn’t matter. You may think that one day God will use you. One day what you do will impact your life and the life of others.

It’s possible to use that excuse when justifying why we don’t give of our time and treasure.

God is asking us to look at what we have now; he is asking us to trust him in this season, at this job. He wants to use you for the bigger picture.

I have prayed this prayer before, but it’s so important for us to understand. Every day we work with people, serve people, and the ripple effect could be felt for generations, and you would never know. The work you do today can influence thousands without you even knowing. So be kind to the current season in which you find yourself. Look for how God is using you in his bigger picture, and be thankful. Give of your time, give of your treasure, and you will be rewarded. Your plans will be established.

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for using us, thank you for choosing us to be a part of your bigger picture. We ask that you continue to use us to impact those around us. If we cannot see how our work directly impacts others, I pray that you open our eyes. We want to be an outlet for your love. We want to impact the lives of others, so use us, father. We ask that you bless the day ahead of us. It is with everything in us that we pray, AMEN and AMEN!
