Episode 242

TODAY’S READING:

For at one time, you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

Ephesians 5:8

Happy Star Wars Day!! I hope you all had a beautiful Monday yesterday and are ready for the day ahead of you.

This verse is beautiful. It helps remind us where we once were and where we are now. We are forever changed because of our relationship with God. What He started in our hearts can never be put out. It will always burn. No matter how far we may run, our spirits are ignited with His.

We have to embrace the change that comes with being a Christian. It means that some ways of life no longer fit. For example, I love a good margarita on Taco Tuesdays, but I no longer drink until I can’t remember the next morning. I left those days behind in college before Jesus impacted my life.

Every day I continue to grow closer and closer to Him. Every day I change, and I try to be better than I was the day before, as I am sure you do too.

I picked this verse from my favorite saga:

“You can’t stop the change any more than you can stop the suns from setting.”

We are now officially children of the light, and we can’t stop the change that has occurred in our hearts the moment we let Him in.

PRAYER

Father God, we thank you for the love that burns in our hearts. We ask that every day we grow closer and closer to you. We can’t stop the change, and we don’t want to. We want to know you deeper. We love you and ask that you bless the day ahead of us. It is with absolutely everything in us that we pray, AMEN!
