Episode 259

TODAY’S READING:

19 and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. 20 And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Genesis 14:19-20

Do you give God a tenth of everything? I understand, believe in, respect, and honor the financial tithe. The principle of tithing your money goes beyond donations, but today, I read this verse, and I was reminded that everything isn’t only our wallets but everything.

We should be giving God a tenth of everything we have. That includes our time and our talent.

How we spend our time is crucial. We should be allocating time aside in our days to growing closer to God. We should be wanting to serve Him by giving Him everything we can.

He isn’t looking for our money or our time, but he is looking at our hearts when we give it.

PRAYER

Jesus, thank you for a beautiful week. Thank you for spending time with us each morning. God, I ask that you bless the day ahead of us. May we give you everything that we have: our time, our talents, our treasures. We know we have them because you first gave them. Thank you for everything. It is in your mighty name that we pray, AMEN!
