Episode 262

I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us.

Isaiah 63:7

One year of devotionals! I don’t think I have ever done anything 5x a week for a year except for sleep and eat. I was not the type to have perfect attendance in school. I was not the kind of person who completed many 30 day challenges. But this was different. This has been about much more than a challenge, but a true lifestyle of prayer.

You see, we all pray because we need someone to help us, and we get to live in the joy that the Lord is our strength.

I pray every day because I know I have trouble with control. I want to control everything around me; that is why I pray for surrender so often.

You may pray for a reason entirely different.

We all have the things we need help with, but we all have a common power to push us through anything and everything.

This verse should be our anthem. I will tell of the kindness of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us.

I can take a moment and reflect on all the Lord has done for me and be overwhelmed with emotion. God is good, and there is nothing anyone can tell me to change my stance on the matter. He is good all the time.

My life, your life, this podcast is all a true testament to the goodness of God. We are all the better because of Him.

I am asking you to share this with your friends and family. May year two be even greater. May God continue to speak as I write. May He make it be known what it is He wants to share with us each morning. I thank you all for being my community. Thank you!

Father God, thank you. Thank you for being our strength. We will boldly tell everyone how you have changed our lives. Our testimony is the most important thing we own. It is far more valuable than gold. Thank you for giving us each a story to pass down for generations. We love you. We thank you for a year of prayer, and we ask that you bless this next year. It is with everything that we pray, AMEN!

Hi, I'm Ali.
I want to encourage you on your faith journey!

I'm the coffee obsessed baker from Miami, FL who got too busy to find time to read scripture everyday. I knew my life was better with Jesus and I knew I wasn't the only one struggling with finding alone time with God every morning, so I put my dreams of opening a bakery aside and set out to produce a five minute daily devotional. What first started as an email chain, has now flourished into a beautiful community and I am so happy you are here!

We are a faith based community in pursuit of daily prayer. All it takes is five minutes - we know you're busy but He loves you still.
