8 In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
I am back home at last! It was such an amazing trip to Denver. We did so many things my sister enjoys, like a spa day and a private dinner with just her girls. It was defiantly a weekend to always remember.
On Saturday morning, we took a yoga class at the red rocks. That morning was a personal moment between Jesus and myself. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I sat there with my eyes wide open, looking at the majesty of his work. The rocks to my left and the valley to my right. The perfect picture of life.
In that class, the instructor asked us to take in what we needed and release what we didn’t. It was a physical representation of soaking in the grace of God and pushing away all of the negative self-talk, doubt, and ugly emotions.
At the end of the class, we lied down and looked up. All I could see were the birds chirping above me. Another beautiful reminder is that God takes care of the birds. They have food and a nest they call home. If He cares for them, how much more does He care for us.
I encourage you to take just a few minutes today to go on a walk or to simply drive with the windows down. Try and soak in some nature. It quickly humbles us and reminds us of the peace our Lord brings. The peace that even in this crazy world, every little thing is gonna be alright. So don’t worry about a thing.
Father God, thank you for speaking to us through different ways each and every day. Lord, we have our eyes peeled for things you wish to show us, we have our ears open for things you want us to hear, and we have our hearts ready to soak it all in. Jesus, today, we take in our peace, and we push out anything that isn’t serving us. We ask that you bless the week ahead of us. It is with absolutely everything in us that we pray, AMEN!
