Episode 277

TODAY’S READING:

35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Hebrews 10:35-36

 

Perseverance is what wins. Nothing else gets you to the finish line. In all aspects of my life, I have learned that the one who gets far in life is the one who keeps going.

 

Confidence in what we do can sometimes become an internal battle. You feel as if you are not qualified to do the work you are doing. But I am here to remind you that promotion comes from the Lord. So if you are doing a job you think is too hard or that you are unqualified to do, I encourage you to think again. Man did not promote you; God used man as a tool to give you more responsibility.

 

If He has called you to it, He will walk you through it. So do not throw away your confidence. It was a gift from Jesus, and he wanted to reward you for it. It wants to give you what He has promised. But you must take your assignment and roll with it.

 

So if that means creating new processes at work, do it. If that means taking those harder classes in school, take them. If that means creating content, create the content. Do the things God has assigned you to do. And do it with the confidence He has given you. He is counting on you; He knows you can do it because if He didn’t think you could, you wouldn’t have the responsibility to do it today. 

 

PRAYER

Jesus gives us the strength to persevere, give us the ability to hold onto our confidence. The confidence that where you have us is where you want us. Help us in walking in the calling. Help us in serving your people, in school, at work, in the home, in our business, online, where ever it is that you have us, Jesus help us in walking in confidence you have given us. We thank you for the assignment. We are grateful you have given us the responsibility. We are hopeful for a beautiful day ahead. It is in your Holy name that we pray, AMEN!
