Episode 279

TODAY’S READING:

9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:9

There are days where we simply feel like we can’t keep going. Or we are just too tired. Or we just need a break. But then there is that voice that tells us to keep going, to keep pushing.

In my case, I look out to my future, and I imagine the people that surround me. There are a few really special people that stand out to me. On the days I can’t anymore, I do it for them.

In the same, I hear my mom tell me all the time, who would I be if not for you three. (I am one of three).

We all have those people to who we selflessly give our lives. Those people make sad days better and long days shorter. They make life worth living.

Fellowship is beautiful. Not just with our family, but with our significant others, friends, small groups, co-workers, church family, and most importantly, with Jesus.

Being in a community is vital. Having someone to lead on is why God made us beings that thrived among each other. We weren’t meant to do life alone.

A lot of the time, we don’t give these people the love they deserve. We internalize how much they mean to us, and we do not express it. I hope today we make time to do so, starting with Jesus and our prayer this morning, but then take a few minutes to call your mom, your best friend, your wife, call your significant other, your co-worker and extend your gratitude. It just might make their day.

PRAYER

Jesus, we thank you for the relationship we have with you. We thank you that we have fellowship with you. We are blessed to have you in our life, as a friend, as a confidant, as the most reliable person we have. You will never fail us. We want to take a moment and pray over those that mean so much to us. We thank you for their lives. We ask that you bless the day ahead of us; it is in your Holy Name that we pray, AMEN!
