TODAY’S READING:

8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Hello Friends! What a long weekend. I was in the middle of baking yesterday, and for a second, I thought it was Monday, and I forgot to pray.

 

I almost had a heart attack, but atlas it was Sunday, and I did not miss our Monday prayer.

 

As we get ready for Monday, I wanted us to all take a moment and remember that as long as we keep our eyes on the Lord, there is absolutely nothing that can shake us this week.

 

No matter what gets thrown at you. No matter if it took 1/2 an hour longer to dress your 3-year-old, no matter if your summer class is a lot more complicated than you had hope, no matter if this housing market won’t allow you to find your dream home, no matter what you are facing, nothing could shake you because your eyes and always on the Lord.

 

I often pray for strength, but I think it’s because day in and day out, we need it. A lot of things happen, some days are better than others, and emotions change often. You can have a happy morning and an off afternoon. But there is nothing as powerful as the knowledge that the Lord is with you every step of the way. He is there when you get the medical report; He is there when you get the notice from the bank. He is there in the good times and the bad. To fix your eyes on Him and remember as long as you are focused on Jesus, nothing can shake you. He is by your side. 

 

PRAYER

Father God, you are the one things we can count on. You are the only power in this universe that can keep us safe and in a state of ease. Father, we ask that you look over us this week. We pray we remember to fix our eyes on you. We know with you in our corner, nothing can shake us. We love you with everything in us; we are thankful for you in our lives. Thank you for everything you do. It is in your Holy Name that we pray, AMEN!
