“Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”
This was a verse that I read in the seventh grade, and I absolutely loved it, and I kind of let it become my life verse. But since then, I’ve learned a lot about this verse and what it means. So that you have some context of this book, Habakkuk was actually questioning God and asking him why he would surrender his chosen people to the Babylonians, and this was actually a moment where Habakkuk was questioning God, saying, why God Why would you let this happen to us like, what’s your plan in this?
I think God’s response here is absolutely incredible because Habakkuk is similar to us in our problems today, we are bound by time in the place that we’re in, but God is not a God that is bound by anything. From the worldly perspective, this verse really shows me that, you know, in the midst of our questioning, God doesn’t respond to us and say, He’s got big plans for us. He doesn’t say he has mic drop moments for us; he’s got this huge spotlight for us. He responds and says that he’s going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told, and I’ve seen this play out in my life I’ve seen this play out in other’s lives.
I just want this verse to encourage you guys that if you’re in the midst of questioning or you’re wondering why or there are just things in your life that don’t make sense… that maybe the setbacks in our lives are actually setups for what God has planned for us, and how he designed us when He created us when we were born. So I just hope that that verse is a reminder and an encouragement that God has plans for you, they may not be plans that make you go viral or plans that give you a ton of worldly recognition, but those small moments and the way that he’s preparing you right now is going to take you somewhere that you wouldn’t believe even if you were told today. So I just hope that you guys are encouraged that there is hope for you, and God is a God that is faithful and keeps His promises, and there’s something coming your way. That is going to just totally blow your mind that only God could orchestrate.
Dear God, I just want to thank you today for a new day and for allowing listeners and my own life here to intertwine. I just pray that this message will encourage those listening that you are a good God and that you hear our crying out to you and that you want to show us the big picture, and that you have plans for us regardless of where we are and that time in place, does not hold you back from the plans and that, you have. Nothing can stop the plans that you have for us regardless of any type of setback that we feel like we’re experiencing and God, I just pray that you will continue to give listeners the renewal and the strength to keep moving forward and that they will be inspired to continuously bring you into their day. I pray that the little things they’re doing here on this earth are really bringing you so much glory and making an impact past what they could ever imagine, and I just want to close this out by thanking you for allowing your son Jesus to die on the cross for us. And thank you for forgiving us of our sins and thank you for just all the blessings that you’ve poured out to us in Jesus name, I say,
