Episode 297

TODAY’S READING:

Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Matthew 9:22

This is one of my favorite stories in the Bible. It is beautiful and shows what true faith in Jesus should look like.

My favorite part wasn’t that He said, “Because you touched me, you are healed” or “please let me work on your body, and in 5 minutes you will be healed,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”

Meaning the responsibility is on us. We must have the faith that He can do it, and He will. It won’t always look the way we want. A lot of times, we could beat ourselves up when a loved one or we are sick. We have faith, and sometimes they aren’t healed. But healing doesn’t only mean the physical body; it also means the emotional soul inside. Ask Jesus to heal the part in you that is hurting and grieving and angry over what is going on in your life, and if you have the faith, He will do it.

He is a good father. He doesn’t like to see us in pain. Surrender it to Him. Have the kind of faith that heals even the broken of hearts.

PRAYER

Jesus, thank you for a beautiful day. Thank you for healing our most inner parts. Lord, we surrender them to you along with anything else that may need healing. We trust in you. We love you. We thank you for another day ahead of us; it is in your Holy Name that we pray, AMEN!
