TODAY’S READING:

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

 

We are not perfect. We fall short of perfection every day, and when we seek perfection, we drive a wedge between what we think we need and what we have, which is grace.

 

God’s grace surpasses the need for perfection. He fills the gap. He meets us right where we are.

 

No matter where you’ve been, what you’ve done, God loves you. Jesus sacrificed himself for you. So the next time you beat yourself up for something, remind yourself that you are so loved. So beyond loved. I SO loved that someone sacrificed his life for you. 

 

PRAYER

Jesus, we thank you for what you did on that cross. We thank you that your grace covers us and protects us. We love you, and we ask for help when we miss the mark. Meet us in the gap. We love you so much, AMEN!
