Episode 301
TODAY’S READING:
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2-4
Happy Monday!
I am at my home away from home today. I got to escape for just a few days. Yesterday we got to go to Hollywood Studios and meet my best friend Sarah and her sister, and we got to ride the newer ride in the Star Wars area, Rise of the Resistance.
Because of the popularity of the ride, you have two chances to get your name on the list, once at 7:00 am and the second chance is at 1.
Well, I woke up nice and early, and I missed my shot. So I went back to sleep angry, knowing I had to try again at 1, but the chances were low.
Fast forward to 1 pm; we were able to secure 2 out of the three passes we needed. We walked over to the ride, and the lady let us know that Sarah could board with us since we got passes for the majority of our party.
Now, here is when it gets fun. After we get on the list, we get a callback time, and that time was about 3 hours away. So we waited the three hours, rode different rides, and finally made our way back.
We got through the entire line and were able to make it to the last pre-attraction scene when the ride broke down, and we were all forced to leave our spot in line and come back with a fast pass.
After a few more hours, we were able to walk onto the ride and finally enjoy the most anticipated ride currently on the property.
I tell you this full story to paint a picture of life and of what our weeks may look like at times. Sometimes we have many setbacks and obstacles. Sometimes we think we are at the finish line, and we get sent back to the beginning.
It’s a reminder that no matter the obstacle, we can count on a good good father to help us through it. We know that we are learning through it all and that when we get the opportunity to get back up, we can skip to the front because we’ve already done that part.
PRAYER
Jesus, thank you for a new week. Thank you for the blessing of prayer. We present our needs to you, father. We ask that you watch over us all. We know there are setbacks and obstacles, but these are really just springboards for the next bigger and better blessing you have in store. We love you so much; it is in your holy name that we pray AMEN
