Episode 312

TODAY’S READING:

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Ecclesiastes 4:10

Good friendship is hard to come across. Community is hard to come across. But once you find it, don’t let it go.

As I mentioned yesterday, my best friend lost her dad unexpectedly this weekend, and as I spent time with her yesterday, I saw her community come together to lift her in this time. I was reminded how important community really is. It is crucial for the low moments but also for the celebratory moments.

I want us all today to just reflect on our inner circles. Thank God for those in your life that help you up. Be thankful you have people you can confide in. Reach out to those people and say thank you for having my back; I hope you know I will always have yours. Lend an ear, talk to them, keep them close.

If you feel your inner circle needs some pruning, God is the master gardener. He will prune dead leaves just to help you grow, so maybe it’s time you ask him to prune your life. Ask him for new circles of influence.

There is power in the community. I pray we all hold on a little tighter today to ours.

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for this beautiful Tuesday. Thank you for our inner circles. Thank you to those that bring us back up when we fall. Father, today, we pray for our circles of influence. May you protect them all. We also pray for those looking for community. May they find Godly people to help direct them, guide them, and allow them to continue to grow closer to you. It is in your Holy name that we pray, AMEN!
