Episode 315

TODAY’S READING:

LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished, you have done for us.

Isaiah 26:12

To have a relationship with the Holy Spirit should be all of our number one goals. Lord, let me know your voice; let me listen to when you speak. That should be our prayer every day.

Yesterday, I experienced a crazy mid-afternoon. It was a great morning, followed by a really scary hour.

The news reported the incident as an active shooter at the mall where my bakery is located, and I read somewhere else that the person ended up not being harmless, but at the moment, all I saw was panic. People are running out of the mall, and a line of cop cars are racing to the scene. It felt as if there were hundreds of them.

We are thankfully okay, but at the moment, my sister and I were terrified—all of the what-ifs crossed my mind. But at the same time, I had an overwhelming sense of peace.

This verse is a reminder that He is our peace. He gives us peace. He established it deep within us. It is a tool we can use in any situation. We are nothing without him. Thank you, Jesus.

PRAYER

God, thank you for keeping us all safe, day in and day out. We pray we hold onto your peace today. We thank you for it. It is a tool we will hold closer. Thank you for another beautiful day. We ask that you bless the weekend ahead of us; it is in your Holy Name that we pray, AMEN!
