Running From Fantasies

TODAY’S READING:

Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.

Proverbs 12:11

Learned a hard lesson.

What you want isn’t always what God wants.

Today’s Devo is short and sweet, but I hope my personal story spares you the tough lessons of life. When we work, when we save, when we tend to our family, we have to think of the abundance that we should be preparing for.

Chasing fantasies isn’t the best way to go about our dreams. I know first hand.

So if you are an aspiring entrepreneur, someone looking to make a large shift in their life, someone looking to upgrade and buy a bigger home, pray pray pray. Pray about where God has you now. Present your requests in a posture of gratitude. Don’t ride on your emotions but be logical with the decisions you are making, all with the feeling of Jesus and His security around you.

PRAYER

Jesus, I thank you for the lesson you taught me. Although so much is in the air, Lord, I trust you with it all. Jesus, I pray for the person on the other side of this mic. May you guide them and secure them in your plans. May they work their land and have an abundance of food. Keep our hearts and heads focused on you; we don’t want to chase a fantasy; we want to run from them. We love you with everything in us; it is in your Holy Name that we pray, AMEN!
