Episode 325

TODAY’S READING:

29 So I said to you: “Do not be terrified or afraid of them! 30 The LORD your God, who goes before you, will fight for you, just as you saw Him do for you in Egypt 31and in the wilderness, where the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way by which you traveled until you reached this place.”

32 But in spite of all this, you did not trust the LORD your God, 33 who went before you on the journey, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day, to seek out a place for you to camp and to show you the road to travel.

Deuteronomy 1:29-33

Replay your life, go back and look at how far you’ve come. Look at the moments that made you stronger; look at the moments that God pulled you through. Look at the world and how it’s changed.

Look at how at every turn, He was faithful.

Now, look at the mountain you face today. We all have one.

Why do we fear it? Why do we believe He won’t take us through it. He has done nothing but proves time and time again that He is faithful. We said it yesterday, and let’s reiterate it today. God is faithful. He is just. He is good, and he is the one that goes with us into the fire.

So whatever you face today, give it to Him.

PRAYER

Father God, we give it to you. Lord, take it. Take what we are so scared to face. Lord, we have seen you do it once before in our lives and the lives of others, and God, we know you are going to do it again. We surrender our bodies, our health, our relationships, our careers, our life plans to you. We love you with our whole hearts. It is in your Holy Son’s name that we pray, AMEN!
