Episode 330

TODAY’S READING:

11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” I was cupbearer to the king.

Nehemiah 1:11

Happy Friday, my beautiful friends. In case you needed to hear this today. Prayer is for you – it’s a direct line to the Father; it’s our way of communicating our heart’s needs and desires.

Today’s prayer is a simple one yet so powerful. Lord, give your servant success today by granting him a favor.

A few things really stand out in this verse and are something we need to question. Are you a servant for the Lord?

Where is your heart when you pray? Are you asking for things because you want them and need them, and are you only coming to Him at times like that?

It’s okay if your answer is yes. It just means you have a beautiful journey ahead of you. Learning to submit your will to His. Learning to prioritize your time, learning to be His hands and feet.

My prayer today, and I hope it’s your prayer. Also, it’s to soften my heart, show me where I am not submissive, and push me to be better.

PRAYER

Lord, I love you. I love you, and I don’t want to live a life in which I do not devote it to you. Show us today where our hearts needs softening. Show us in the ways we are not your servant. Help us in our journey to better understanding your heart and will for our lives. Thank you for the weekend ahead of us; we love you so much. It is in your son’s Holy name that we pray, AMEN!
