Episode 331

TODAY’S READING:

1 Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. 2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Psalm 128:1-2

Happy Monday!! For those of us on a long weekend, I hope you have an amazing day today. I, fortunately, have a day off. I am so excited. I feel like between my full-time job, the bakery on the weekends, and producing this show, I never know how to rest, but thankfully today, I am off, and I am in… I am sure you can guess it… The happiest place on earth. At least it’s my kind of happiness.

Lately, I feel like my prayers have been around the feeling of being obedient and appreciating the season we are in. I think it has a lot to do with the mountain I am facing in my own life as I navigate this feeling of pursuing what God has on my heart—being obedient to writing what he deposits into my spirit.

It’s scary being obedient because obedience is losing control. It’s switching from doing what you want to doing what God wants, and the two are usually not the same thing.

My prayer today is simple, lean on God. Ask Him to speak to you in a whisper. Look for His nudges. Be obedient to the calling, and I promise you that you will eat the fruit of your labor. Blessings and prosperity will be yours. This verse is beautiful, hold onto it today.

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for this beautiful Monday. Praying for all those who get to slow down today and spend it with their loved ones—also, praying for those who are working to provide for their family. We are all in so many different seasons, but it is the beauty of this community. We thank you for exactly where you have us. Remind us today to be obedient to the call. Remind us that sometimes what we want isn’t what we need. Remind us that your will is always greater. We thank you for your guidance. We love you with everything in us, AMEN!
