Episode 348

TODAY’S READING:

I’m after love that lasts, not more religion. I want you to know God, not go to more prayer meetings.

Hosea 6:6

I think we all have a burning desire deep within us. It’s why we tune in each morning. It’s why we can find the 5 minutes to get alone with God. We all after a love that lasts.

No one wants to wake up heartbroken that the one person they confided in was gone or no longer loved them. We are so fortunate that our God promises never to leave. He will always be there.

This isn’t a religious act. We aren’t doing this out of custom but because we want to know God. So my prayer today and every day is that these devotionals each morning aren’t just prayer meetings but a true and powerful moment with our God.

So today, let us accept that his love lasts. We have all be burned before. Romantically, in the family dynamic, with our friends. We know the feeling of human flaw. But Jesus, he promises to love us forever, and we get to celebrate that today.

PRAYER

Jesus, I thank you for loving us all. We come today praying these mornings we spend together are not religious or out of custom but because we have a deep longing to connect with you personally. We want to know you, God. We want to laugh with you and cry with you. We thank you for loving us every day. Thankful that each morning we have new mercies. It is in your holy name that we pray, AMEN!
