Episode 358
TODAY’S READING:
And by faith, even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
Hebrews 11:11
I love Sarah’s story because Sarah is a lot like us. We doubt what our God can do because we think more about what we are capable of than what He is.
There are so many of us who think we are too old, too big, too small, too slow, too much lack to receive the promises God has for us. Even Sarah was doubtful, but the Lord blessed her as He said.
Today’s devotional is short, sweet, yet powerful. What did God promise you that you have dismissed because of your lack? What have you cast aside because of your age or your experience?
I hope we bring that back to life today. Let’s pray about what we want most and are too scared to accept with open arms.
God wants to bless us with it. He wants to see his promise through, but we must be willing to accept it.
PRAYER
Father God, today we look to all that we have prayed for, wished for, hoped for, and have dismissed because of our age, experience, or season in life. We ask that you help us in surrendering those emotions and accepting that you wish to bless us. Your promise never comes back void. We love you, and we ask that you bless this beautiful Wednesday. It is in your holy name that we pray, AMEN!
