Episode 378
TODAY’S READING:
No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
1 John 2:23
Wednesday already! I had a 6 am flight today, and I am excited to see a client in the suburbs of Chicago. Tomorrow is a long client workshop day, and this weekend I can explore the city. Thank you for the recommendations! Those that messaged me!
Right before I get on a flight, I hold onto Jesus a little tighter. I don’t know why, but I am always rushed with a bit of anxiety on flying days.
I read this verse, and I was overcome with peace. It is because of my relationship with Christ that I get access to the Father. The creator of the universe. The God of all things.
I get to cast my worries and anxieties because He cares for me. I get to hold onto that a little tighter today, and so do you.
This verse says if you deny the son, you don’t have the Father, but whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. So it’s clear we have access to both the Father and the son.
We get to run to a friend and a father. We get to see the love of God in the form of a man, and we get to experience them both.
So on this travel day, I get to hold onto the truth that Christ is within me. Because of Him, I have a direct connection to the Father, and in every situation, God is good. He is on the throne, and he cares for me.
You get to hold onto that too.
PRAYER
Jesus, thank you. It is because of you that we have a relationship with him. We love and honor you this day and every day. We thank you for the work you are doing in our hearts, in our communities, and in the world. Lord, today we pray for the families affected by the concert this weekend. We pray for peace for those mourning loved ones, and we pray for healing for those that were injured. It is in your son’s holy name that we pray, AMEN!
