TODAY’S READING:

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:29

 

Jesus is the Lamb of God. Of all the names we will study, this one seems to be one of the most powerful of all. After all, He came down from heaven with one mission, to save us from our sin, and the only way to do that was the pay the ultimate price on the cross.

 

But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

1 Peter 1:19

 

Jesus was our spotless Lamb, and He died for you and me. I pray today we remember His sacrifice. We remember why we put up lights and why we buy presents. We remember what He did with His life and why it is a true honor to celebrate Him not just this month but every day.

 

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for another beautiful day of hearing your word. Thank you for teaching us and molding us, and just reminding us why you sent your son. We cherish every moment of growing deeper with you. It is in your holy name that we pray, AMEN!
