Episode 415

TODAY’S READING:

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Thessalonians 5:16-18

We are to rejoice always and to pray without ceasing. And it’s a reminder for the time that has passed us and the time that is yet to come. We are to rejoice in all situations in the good and the bad. Last night I had a really rough night, and I know it’s been a really gloomy month here at my morning devotional podcast. I’ve had a rough month, and I like to take you guys on the journey because we all go through seasons, good seasons, and bad seasons. And this half-season is hopefully coming to an end.

We’re also in, but yesterday was a rough afternoon as we had to call the cops once again, but this time at 11 pm And so I am now recording at 3:13 am; the day before I normally record right before I go to bed, and I just was defeated. I’m not gonna lie, and I didn’t have the words as I said on Monday. Monday was another rough day for me, and it’s been a tough month. But I am obedient to him. And he asks for rejoicing, and he asks that we pray without ceasing not for him. But for us. I know it makes me feel better. And this podcast is a testament to that, so I will pray without ceasing and the good days and other bad days in the year to come. And then the year that I’m leaving behind. It was a great year when I think about it, with a lot of good times and some tough moments. But it wouldn’t be a good year without those two in combination. So I will give thanks in all circumstances, I will give thanks for the year.

It was a growing year, and I learned so much, and I hope that you did to wherever you give things. If you’re seeking your body, you still give things because you still have breath in your lungs. If you are in a situation where you need a new home, good things because he is preparing a new home for you. If you’re in a situation with school, give things free to access education.

We all have different circumstances, and we are to give thanks for everything we have. And we’re to be hopeful for everything that we’re going to walk into. But it starts with the attitude of gratitude. And we did that throughout the entire month of November. We looked at the attitude of gratitude. And in December, we looked at the birth of Jesus and all of those different names. I just can’t help but to look back at all of those prayers and remind myself that I am to rejoice because I do serve the light of the world, and I do serve a God who is mighty. I serve the Son of God, the Son of David. He is a miracle worker. He is faithful. He is loving. And when we put on the attitude of gratitude, we can walk into a new year, extra blessed because we know who walks before us.

So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me this last year. I thank you for the last 415 prayers together, and I am so looking forward to this upcoming year. I know it’s going to be a good one for all of us in our own specific and different ways. He is going to bless us tenfold. So I thank you for all of the reviews. I thank you for all of the star ratings. I thank you for the time that you have spent either sending me a personal message sending me a prayer request, or a praise report.

I thank you for everything. And it is an honor to do this, and I am so excited for the year ahead of us; in the meantime, I will rejoice. God is a good God. He is a good God to me. He is a good God to you. And in every situation. We are to give things; it is His will for us and praying. Praying is our first defense no matter what happens; when we pray first, that’s when lives begin to change. So, today we let us hold on to that; let us rejoice. Let us pray without ceasing. And let us put on the attitude of gratitude.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for the year 2021 Today we end the year and we’re going out with a bang we are so, so thankful for all of the blessings, all of the lessons, and everything that we have walked through together. We are so looking forward to this upcoming year and we ask that you bless her father, we ask that you bless the doors that we will be walking through. And we ask that you bless our families, our friends, our finances, our physical bodies, our spiritual bodies, our careers. We love you with everything in less than it is in your holy name that we pray. Amen.
