Episode 439
TODAY’S READING:
So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day, it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”
Genesis 22:14
We are picking up in the story of Abraham, where God provided a sacrifice for Abraham, and He didn’t have to sacrifice his son, Issac. This is the first time we hear the name Jehovah Jireh.
In the King James Version, we read:
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
This is the name of the Lord that I hold onto so tightly.
We are in the process of selling my grandfather’s home, and we got a cash offer, lower for the asking price but promising. Well, 4 days later, the offer fell through, and my realtor called me to let me know that we had to go with a different buyer.
He resends me the paperwork, and I sign this new contract. Later on, at night, I get a message from an old friend from college. “Hey, this is random, but are you selling a home? I signed a contract today for a house, and your name was on it.”
I cannot tell you how excited I was to know the house my grandparents worked so hard to buy was going into the hands of a couple I know.
God is a provider. He will always provide. He is Jehovah Jireh. I am not sure what you need but pray to your provider. He will give you the financial resource, the health, the job, the family, the breakthrough. He provides all that we need. We are so blessed to have a father like Him.
PRAYER
Father God, you are our provider. Lord, we are all entering a new month with new needs, and we know that you are our provider. So, Lord, we give it to you. We give you the need for financial breakthrough, emotional healing, relationship mending. We give you all that we need because we know you will provide it. Lord, if we need to sacrifice something, let it be known. We love you so much; it is in your holy name that we pray, AMEN!
