“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Something so powerful when we make God personal. The atmosphere shifts. We have just spent the last two weeks reflecting on the names of God. Today, I pray we apply them in a deeply personal way.
The meaning of Adoni is My Lord. Personal, attentive, detailed. He is in our mess. He knows it. He wants to be in it.
He wants us to trust him with the messy details, their good moments, and the bad.
In this verse, we read a personal tribute and pray over every one of us today. God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is MY strength and MY song. He has become my salvation.
We find rest in Him; we find love, strength, mercy, protection, healing in Him. May we trust and not be afraid.
Father God, we trust you. We love you. We are not afraid to include you in our messy details. We give you everything. You are our Adonai, you are our Lord, and we are so blessed to have you. We thank you for this past week, and we will give you our weekend. Bless us as we go about our day. We pray this always in your mighty name, AMEN!
