Episode 449

TODAY’S READING:

Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.

Romans 12:17

I think that that speaks to the character that we have to have when we are the person in pain. So when we have to extend forgiveness, we are not petty people; we don’t repay with evil. We don’t hurt the person that has hurt us. But we model what Christ did for us. And that was to forgive us for all of our sins than to forgive us for our nature, our nature of being not righteous.

So stepping outside of righteousness is our nature. We’re not perfect people will never be perfect, but we can try our hardest to model life like Christ. Now in the sense of the opposite direction.

So how do we accept love when we have hurt others is understanding that forgiveness is an honorable thing. And that when our loved ones forgive us for inflicting pain, we just have to accept it with an open heart.

We have to be thankful that God has placed great people in our lives that also model his nature. And so today’s learning lesson is twofold. If you need to forgive, forgive that person, don’t repay them with evil. Don’t be petty. Don’t hold on. To that poison. It’s only hurting you kneel. And if you’re on the opposite side where you hurt someone, reach back out to that person. Give them your apologies and accept their forgiveness. Even if it doesn’t look the way, you want it to look. Maybe they actually forgive you, but they just need some time. Because he really hurt them. And maybe it’s the opposite. Perhaps someone has really hurt you, and you can’t necessarily call them to say that you forgive them. But if you forgive them in your heart, you’re going to see how your life is all the much better.

And it kind of comes back to yesterday’s which is to accept the periods of love that we have, and that is the love of Christ.

Prayer

Father God, we love you so much. And we ask that you bless us today. We ask that you give us the strength to forgive and also the strength to accept the forgiveness of those that we love most, or do we want to model your life every day? This is the primary example in doing so forgiving and accepting forgiveness. We love you, and we ask you for your blessing and hand over our life today. We ask that you watch over those that we love most in this world. We pray this all in your son’s mighty name. Amen.
