16 I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all of the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and how high and deep is the love of Christ. And to know that this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine according to His power, that there is a work in us to Him be the glory in the church and Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen. Along with verse today, a long passage but beautiful, a prayer for all of us, and
I think something that we can hold on to. It is a heavy week. It’s been a serious two weeks. And this is just a reminder that the power that we have and the power that we have been given comes from the power of Christ and the power of art God. So I wanted to break it down first by verse, essentially in 16. He talks about how I pray out of them out of the glorious riches that he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner beam.
So we know that we get our power from Him from his Spirit. And then we have so that Christ means well in our hearts through faith. And what we need to know is that because he dwells inside of us, we get to choose if we want to live life with Him every day. We get to choose what we’re doing and our actions and if they are a point towards a life with him or a point away from a life with him. And so, every day, we get to cast a vote like we talked about a couple of days ago. We get to cast level towards a life with him. Beyond that, it says that we are beings rooted in love. We get to hold on to the fact that this love surpasses knowledge, meaning we cannot fathom what kind of love Christ has for us, but we get to be rooted in that we are rooted in unimaginable love. And then it says that he is able to do more than we can ever ask or think. Right? So it’s more than we can imagine. According to his power, that work keeps coming back up. So there is power at play. There is power because he is the most powerful beam in this universe.
He is the Almighty, the Sovereign King, He is the Creator, He is our Creator, He is our lifeline, he is the breath of life in our lungs. So there is power there. And what we have to remember is that he is all of those things; therefore, he can do for us more than we can ever imagine. But all there is a tie to that, and it’s according to his power that is outwork and that that little word there so is at work is active, so he is actively working on our behalf. And then we end with To Him be the glory, and I just wanted to wrap up today was saying that he is the reason we get to wake up in the morning with a smile or face. He’s the reason that we can explore a life of joy and even heartache. Even in depression and even in these moments of worry and fear and anxiety, we can still lean on to a life of joy and tap into the power of the Holy Spirit and live in freedom because of Christ. And so, we’re going to continue to pray for those suffering in Ukraine. And we’re gonna pray for those around the world who are taking action. But at the same time, we’re also going to be praying for ourselves, that we may not be clouded by fear and that we hold on to all of the love, the kind of love that we don’t understand. And we’re going to hold on to that and try to lean into that as sort of a prayer for the city.
Prayer
Father God, we love you so much. Lord, we know that the world is crying out your name; Lord, there are people all over the world right now who need to Lord every day we turn on the news, and there’s something different, and so we are at a loss for words. So we come to the Bible for answers, and Lord, today we read a full passage on your power and in your about your love. And Lord, we’re gonna hold on to that. We know that it is out of your riches that you give us power in the Holy Spirit. We know that you dwell inside of us, and we get to choose a faith that we’re going to live life with you. And Lord, we know that we have power because you gave it to us. We know that there is power in your holy people. We know that there is power in the church, and there is power in our community. So we’re going to tap into that power today. Lord, we thank you for your kindness for your love, the kind of love that surpasses knowledge; we cannot fathom what it means the way you love us the Lord we thank you for it, and we live our life and freedom and enjoy because you love us so so to you be the glory Lord, to you be the glory in every situation. And we know that you are sovereign, meaning we know that your hand is on our friends and our family, our brothers and sisters over in Ukraine. We know that you are in the midst of all of this chaos, and we know that there will be glory on the other side of it, and so we’re just holding on to that today. Yeah, so you intervene. We ask that you bless those people. And we know that there is a glory that we may not see right now, but there will be glory at the end of this fall. So we love you, and we thank you for a beautiful day. It isn’t your holy name that we pray, Amen.
