Episode 469

TODAY’S READING:

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Psalm 32:8

He is not our enemy.

Sometimes the restrictions of our faith can make us feel as if God is hurtful as if he doesn’t want us to have fun, but the truth is that he loves us so much that He wants only what is best for us.

Our father is a calculating being. Nothing he does is in vain. Have you ever thought about that? Nothing he has ever said or will ever say is wrong. He is all-knowing. We also know He is all-loving, which means his teachings and instructions come from the best place. There is absolutely no one on this planet in this universe that has your best interest at heart in the same manner that God does.

We are lucky to be given direction. We are lucky to be looked after and cared for. Rather than looking at his instructions as restricting, imagine his teachings in their true freeing ability.

Prayer

Father God, we love you so much we thank you every day for speaking straight into our spirits. We thank you for guiding us, for leading us, for restricting us, for showing us the way, for loving on us. We thank you for having our absolute best entrusting your heart, and we thank you for everything that you do for us on a day in and day out basis. We thank you for the overall bigger picture that we cannot see. We thank you for the lessons that we have to learn. We thank you for everything that you do for us. It isn’t your holy name that we pray. Amen.
