Episode 470
TODAY’S READING:
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Exodus 14:14
Control issues are what I suffer from the most. And although I pray all the time for strength, it’s something I need to take upon my cross every day. I am hopeful that one day it won’t be something that has control over me, but for the time being, it is something I surrender to Him often.
Maybe you are like me and have something similar that you surrender every day. No matter how often you pray, you keep doing it. Let this verse be your banner today; He is fighting for us; we only need to be still.
Let things play out the way God intends for them too. Who are we to take His plans away? Who are we to assume control?
Life is much better when we let go and trust Him, so I am going to choose to surrender my need for control. I am going to surrender my need to know what is happening. I am going to surrender my inclining to hold tighter to a situation, and I am going to choose to hold onto him today; I hope that you do too.
Prayer
Father God, we thank you. We love you for this beautiful Friday. We thank you for doing the work in us, Lord. We all have something that requires healing. And we also render whatever emotion ties us not to let you assume full control. So, Lord, we give you our lives. We give you our days. We give you everything about our life, whatever we need control over. We give that to you. If it has control over our timeline, control over the situation, control over who we’re going to marry, control over what house we’re going to buy. Whatever we feel like we have to assume control or if we give that to you, we know that you’re fighting the battles, we know that you’re preparing a way we know that you are in control and so us just a survey that is a waste of energy for both you and I So Lord, today we surrender it we look for time this weekend to rest with look for time this weekend to meditate on your word. And Lord, we meditate day in and day out that you are fighting for us, and we only need to be still you know what we need. So, Lord, we thank you. We ask you to bless this beautiful Friday, and it is in your holy name that we pray. Amen.
