Episode 503
TODAY’S READING
So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside, it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:16
Reagan Harris:
I have just felt this in my heart. I have noticed that myself and those around me have been going through a really hard season of suffering, questioning why they are where they are. And I just want to remind you that the suffering that we’re going through today has nothing on the glory to come, and I just feel this urge to encourage you to keep going that the work and where you are now matters that God is using you exactly where your feet are planted, and that there’s purpose. You don’t have to look for your purpose when you’re chasing after God because your purpose is just here, friends. I just want to encourage you to keep going don’t give up. Keep spring on that suffering, or the season you’re walking through right now has nothing on what God is doing within you and how God is developing you, and how he’s using you right now. And I just you to know if you hear anything today;
I just hope that you feel this encouragement and that you have everything that you need to continue exactly where you are. And I’m so proud of you. So that’s really the encouragement that I have. And Allison, if you’re good, I’m happy to kind of lead us into just a time of prayer. I would encourage you guys to go read that verse and whatever translation that you know that you like most and just to pray over that today. But guys, I’m so thankful to be here!
Prayer
God, I just want to pray over my friend today. The friend that’s on the other side of the phone and the other side of the line right now, and I just pray that they feel your presence. I pray that they fill you with him. I pray that they remember that there’s the purpose exactly where they’re sitting in their seat in life right now, and God, I just pray that you will give them strength. I pray that this season that they’re walking through will make them steadfast, and I pray that they’ll have renewal and energy that only can come from you. I pray that you give them wisdom. I pray that you give them discernment, and I just pray that they have everything that they need to just keep on in this exact place that you have them, and I pray that they remember and that they’re reminded they’re full of purpose that their purpose is unshakable that their purpose doesn’t pause and that you are doing work not just through them, but you’re also doing work within them right now that you’re transforming them. You’re stretching them, that you’re growing them and that where they are right now is exactly where they are supposed to be. And God, I just pray over my friend; I pray that they will continue to keep on, and we just thank you so much for this day. We thank you so much for this opportunity. We invite you into our morning, and we just praise you and thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for us, and thank you for this new day. God in Jesus’ name, we say Amen.
