Episode 505
TODAY’S READING
LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished, you have done for us.
Isaiah 26:12
I have this exam this morning, and so naturally, you get a little bit nervous because the what is kind of pop up you know what if I re herniated my tummy, am I going to need surgery again? Or what if it’s all fine? How am I going to get rid of all of this fluff that I’m producing? Which is a little bit TMI, I’m not gonna lie. I’m sorry for all of the details. But essentially, these are, again, my personal prayers that I pray on here, and I thank you guys for joining me on this journey. But what I’m trying to get to is those What if those questions that we asked day in and day out all the time though they’re running through our heads, they steal our joy, they steal our peace? That’s the reality of the situation. And today, I just want to pray for peace.
May we look at mountains and ask them to move, maybe look at the waves and remember who commands them to stop? We can be people of peace, knowing that God has it all under control, no matter how good, no matter how bad we don’t have to sit there and worry about the what-ifs; we get to live in the reality that no matter what the outcome, it’s the best outcome for us. And it is a learning lesson. It is a blessing in disguise. It is the best thing that God has in store for us. And we know that there are even greater blessings for us to come, and it all starts and stems from the ability to surrender the ability to understand that he’s in control of the way that we guide ourselves and plant ourselves and the way that we get to protect ourselves with his, the armor of God the faith that we have, and in reality, we remember how good he is. And so today is very short and very simple to say, Lord, we ask that you give us peace. When we look at the situations that we face and remember that you give us peace. We love you.
Prayer
Father God, thank you for the peace that surrounds us. Thank you for the peace that gets us from one day to the next. Or we surrender all of the what-ifs. We all have a mountain that we’re facing, and these questions drain us, Lord; they take our time, they make us worry, they keep us late at night, and the reality is that we have no control over their outcomes. But Lord, we know that you’re in control. And because you are the greatest thing that has ever happened and will ever happen to us. We know that you have our best interests in mind. So no matter what, it’s going to be the best situation for us. And so, we thank you for having your hand in our lives. We thank You for Your protection, the prosperity you give us, and the ability to be a part of your kingdom. We pray this all in your holy name. Amen.
