TODAY’S READING

And God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8

It is very powerful knowing that we have a relationship with God who was able to bless us abundantly, not just when he wants to, or not just when it’s convenient, but he wants to bless us abundantly in all things at all times. So that we have everything that we need to do good work, and so to me, that is that we have everything that we need to be successful in our relationships. We have everything that we need to be faithful when faced with bad doctor reports, and we have everything that we need to steward our finances properly. We have everything we need to land that dream job we’ve been working for. We have everything that we need to be successful in our studies at school. I know that a lot of us are in different seasons of life. And but we all have needs that are to be met or things that we want to get done and good work that we’re trying to achieve. Whether that be at the work level, at the home level, at the school level, wherever it is that you find yourself today, whatever it is that you’re doing whatever season God has you when God is blessing you abundantly, so that in this time with all things that you have going on, in all that you need.

You will be able to abound in every good work. And so that just means that he wants to give us those careers, and he wants to give us big families; he wants to give us peace and love. He wants us to have strength. He wants us to win the battle of our minds. He wants us to overcome anxiety and depression. He wants us to be happy and full of joy. He wants us so that we can sing his praises and show him glory. And always point our testimonies back to him. So that everything that we do in all of our blessings that we have, and along the good work that gets done, is all in his glorious name. And so today, on this beautiful Tuesday, we remember that in all things and at all times, having all that we need. We can abound in every good work, and the work that we’re doing today is good work, no matter the season that you’re in, no matter if what you’re looking at seems not important to you. It’s important to God, so I honor you in the season he honors you in this season; we honor ourselves as we walk through God’s glory and purpose in his beautiful timing.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for this beautiful Tuesday, and we thank you for the season that you currently have the same. Lord, we pray that You give us everything that we need. So that in all things at all times, we can do good work. So we look at the season, whether it’s the season of growing in our careers, being the best that we can be in our studies, growing our families, being there at home, growing the relationships around us, or we surrender it all t you. We love you with everything in us, and we pray this all in your son’s holy name, Amen.

Hi, I'm Ali.
I want to encourage you on your faith journey!

I'm the coffee obsessed baker from Miami, FL who got too busy to find time to read scripture everyday. I knew my life was better with Jesus and I knew I wasn't the only one struggling with finding alone time with God every morning, so I put my dreams of opening a bakery aside and set out to produce a five minute daily devotional. What first started as an email chain, has now flourished into a beautiful community and I am so happy you are here!

MY TESTIMONY

We are a faith based community in pursuit of daily prayer. All it takes is five minutes - we know you're busy but He loves you still.
